Distro v Distribution
We should probably use "distribution" throughout, unless this is intended purely for an informal LUG audience.
DRM
It does not contain Digital Restrictions Management, preventing the use of the computer by the user in any way.
This makes it sound like the lack of DRM prevents using the computer! Perhaps:
It does not contain Digital Restrictions Management, allowing the user to use the computer with restrictions.
Or even:
It does not contain Digital Restrictions Management, and therefore allows the user full use of their computer without restriction.
RMS and MS
While they both used the same name for this distro, there were certain things standing in the way of both views coming to pass.
I don't understand this. What were their views? What were the obstacles? What does this have to do with the name?
Kernel
There seem to be two contradictory statements: that most people assume the kernel has no non-free software, and that most people assume the non-free software that the kernel contains cannot easily be removed.
